With over 15 years of experience in the financial market, before joining the Sueste Capital team, Gilberto was a partner at large independent management companies such as GP Investimentos (from the 3G group owned by Jorge Paulo Lemann, Marcel Telles and Beto Sicupira) – being responsible for the management and strategy of multimarket funds.

He also acted as manager (including before the regulatory agencies) on the proprietary desk of a relevant single family office: SIP Capital & FVF Participações – managing the assets of former controlling shareholders of Banco Garantia and Banco Matrix (also having part of the resources of the “3G’s” as sponsors of the manager). He was also an executive in the hedge funds of the High Alpha family of Banco Itaú’s Asset.

Finally, he has worked in 4 large management companies: Sharpen Capital, Sagmo Capital, Santana and Jive. The functions were performed in leadership positions, always involving decision-making in investments involving equity, fixed income, derivatives, alternative and sustainable products, in Brazil and abroad.

Gilberto is an economist who graduated from the Brazilian Institute of Financial and Capital Markets (IBMEC), having obtained an honorable mention at the end of the course where he was awarded a scholarship by Fundação Estudar. He concluded, also with a mention, the Professional Master’s Degree in Economics – stricto sensu – with specialization in econometric finance at IBMEC/SP, and the following dissertation defended: Asset allocation through the multidimensional latent factor model with stochastic volatility. In addition, it is registered as a Portfolio Manager by the CVM and has the Anbima Manager Certification (CGA).
